La Maison du Gardien is a unique gîte, with its two floors linked by a stair tower. Its original architecture follows the natural slope of the land, giving a ground floor on each side. Lower side: A warm living space with a fully equipped kitchen and cosy lounge, perfect for cooking and relaxing after a day of adventure. Upper side: A spiral staircase, accessible from outside, leads to the bedroom with shower room and WC. A private terrace with SPA (open from April to September depending on the weather) and plancha, naturally shaded, awaits you for moments of relaxation. Activities: Shared indoor games room (table tennis, arcade basketball). Shared outdoor play area (pétanque). 5 hiking trails, including a GR de Pays, to explore the Hyrôme valley. An original place to stay, ideal for couples looking for authenticity! A timeless experience!
What you'll love about the area
Le Moulin du Chapitre is a preserved site located in the protected natural area of the Vallée de l'Hyrôme. A former watermill, it has become a place offering gîtes and B&B rooms where nature takes centre stage. Right next to the hiking trails, it is also in the heart of Anjou, halfway between Angers - Saumur and Cholet, perfect for discovering this rolling countryside with its vineyards, its rivers (the banks of the Loire, the Layon, the Hyrôme) and its villages of character. A historic land of botanical plants, its parks and gardens are open to visitors, the vineyards open their doors for tastings and the châteaux each have their own particular appeal, higher, deeper, ... The troglodyte region is less than 30 min away.
