Le Sirocco, a cosy, self-contained gîte in Caumont, in the Gers, in the heart of the Gascon countryside, sleeping up to 9 people. The gîte has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large living area, extended by a terrace overlooking a private garden. Fitted kitchen with oven and dishwasher, washing machine, wifi and private parking. The rental includes access to a large garden with games: swing, rugby posts and basketball hoop, enough to delight young and old alike. Barbecue for outdoor meals. For families, baby gear is lent on request: travel cot with mattress, high chair, changing mat and baby bath. Please note: the gîte has no heating. Nightly rental available, from 2 nights. Weekend night supplement on Friday and Saturday (+10€/night)
What you'll love about the area
Caumont nestles in the Gers, in Bas-Armagnac, in the heart of the Gascon countryside, among vineyards and hills. Nearby are the château de Saint-Germé 2.5 km away, the Paul Armagnac circuit in Nogaro 10 km away, a mecca for motorsport, and the medieval tower of Termes d'Armagnac 10 km away. Marciac, 30 km away, hosts the famous Jazz in Marciac festival every summer. To discover in the surrounding area, Eauze and its Gallo-Roman treasure, Aire-sur-l'Adour and the Madiran and Saint-Mont vineyards are all waiting to be explored. Walking, cycling, fishing and rail biking set the pace of your stay. Gascon terroir with plenty of local produce to discover: armagnac, floc de Gascogne, magret, foie gras, croustade and Madiran and St Mont wines.
