What you'll love about this property
Marie-José and I welcome you to Rivage, our self-contained gîte set in a former Bresse farmhouse in Cosges, a charming Jura village of 300 inhabitants.
You'll find everything you need to rest and recharge independently: a large bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom, a fitted kitchen with a large fridge and freezer, a Tassimo coffee machine, a dining room, a television with a soundbar, and even a games room with a billiard table for your evenings.
Free Wi-Fi (39 Mbps), a dedicated workspace, and a view of the park and our courtyard. You can also enjoy a large terrace of over 16 m² for your time outdoors, perfect for sunny days.
On the practical side, there's free parking right next to the gîte, secure storage for bikes or motorbikes, and step-free access with a private entrance. Smoking is allowed on the terrace. We'll be available whenever you need us while respecting your privacy.
What you'll love about the area
Our gîte is located in Cosges, a charming little village in the Jura, in a quiet and peaceful setting where only birdsong breaks the calm.
All the shops are 5 minutes away by car, and the A39 exit is just 6 km away to make getting around easy. For sightseeing, Lons-le-Saunier, the capital of the Jura, is 25 minutes away. 10 minutes away, you'll find the beach and water play area at Desnes. The magnificent Lac de Vouglans is 30 minutes away, the Hérisson waterfall 40 minutes away, and the Hospices de Baume 45 minutes away. Baume-les-Messieurs, one of the Plus Beaux Villages de France, is 25 minutes away.
For food and drink, don't miss the Jura wines (Château-Chalon, Arbois) and our local cheeses, including the famous Comté. There are markets in Bletterans on Tuesdays and in Lons-le-Saunier on Thursdays. A perfect location for exploring the Jura from north to south and east to west, in just 1 to 2 hours by car.
