What you'll love about the area
Fleury-en-Bière is a small listed village with a history to discover! It is 3km from Barbizon (village of the Impressionist painters) and 10km from Fontainebleau with its château and forest (climbing, walks, picnics, cycling, horse riding). Not far away: Milly la Forêt (Cocteau's house, Le Cyclope), Courrance and its château garden, Dannemoi and Cloclo's Mill, etc... Provins and its medieval city, Vaux-le-Vicomte and its French formal gardens, and Paris in under an hour are also within reach for cultural outings. Gatinais markets and traditional cuisine set the pace of a stay combining art, heritage and unspoilt nature.
