I'm happy to share my favourite places and personal recommendations with you, and as a guide I can even offer tailor-made private tours to explore the local treasures. Every stay becomes an encounter, a simple and genuine moment...a unique experience. Set in a quiet spot, just a stone's throw from the ramparts of Aigues-Mortes, the house offers comfortable rooms, a warm setting and a convivial, generous breakfast to start the day right. Farniente is the art of welcoming guests into a family home, with simplicity and generosity, in the true spirit of the Camargue.
What you'll love about the area
Aigues-Mortes is an iconic medieval town in the Camargue gardoise, between the sea, lagoons and pink-tinged salt marshes. Explore its historic ramparts, stroll through the cobbled lanes, discover the exhibitions and craft shops, and enjoy the restaurants and bars in the town centre where you can savour local specialities. Nearby, discover the wild beaches of l'Espiguette, the lively port of Le Grau-du-Roi, the vast natural areas of the Camargue and its unique landscapes, home to pink flamingos, white horses and bulls. Nature lovers will enjoy walks, bike rides or horse rides through the marshes and pine forests. With its bullfighting traditions, Provençal markets, Mediterranean cuisine and sunsets over the salt marshes, the region offers a complete experience combining heritage, nature and the southern way of life. An ideal destination for cultural, seaside or foodie holidays all year round.
