Gîte du Lavoir in Trézioux, a former farmhouse surrounded by nature and facing the Chaîne des Puys, in the heart of the Livradois-Forez Park in the Puy-de-Dôme.
Virginie and Laurent welcome you to this warm and welcoming house, which can accommodate up to 12 people, ideal for family reunions, families and groups of friends.
The gîte, an independent annexe to the owners' house, offers 3 double bedrooms (6 beds), one of which is on the ground floor, a large dormitory sleeping 6 to 7, and 2 shower rooms (one on the ground floor). The comfortable living area with its pellet stove and equipped kitchenette makes for convivial evenings, which carry on out onto the terrace.
The swimming pool will delight young and old alike on sunny days.
Barbecue, dishwasher, washing machine, baby amenities and free parking. Basic supplies, laundry detergent and washing-up liquid provided.
Puy-de-Dôme gîte ideal for large groups, between the Auvergne volcanoes, Livradois-Forez and nature walks.
What you'll love about the area
Trézioux is nestled in the heart of the Livradois-Forez Regional Nature Park, in the Puy-de-Dôme, facing the UNESCO-listed Chaîne des Puys. Peace and quiet guaranteed, with magnificent landscapes as far as the eye can see.
The village of Courpière, 10 minutes away, offers all amenities. Thiers, the capital of cutlery-making with its museum and workshops, and Billom, a medieval town with half-timbered houses, are 20 minutes away (SNCF railway station in Thiers). Clermont-Ferrand, with its cathedral built from Volvic stone and its Place de Jaude, is 45 minutes away.
Many walking and cycling routes start right from the gîte, and the surrounding châteaux, such as Aulteribe and Ravel, tell the story of the region. The Puy de Dôme, Vulcania and the lake at Aubusson-d'Auvergne round off the family outings.
Generous local produce: Fourme d'Ambert, Saint-Nectaire, truffade, Auvergne ham and Côtes d'Auvergne wines for gourmet stays among volcanoes and forests.
