WELCOME to LA MARM'HÔTE GOURMANDE, a B&B in Aillon-le-Jeune, in the heart of the Massif des Bauges Natural Park in Savoie, close to the ski slopes in winter and the many hiking trails in summer. A fully comfortable double room with a shower and washbasin, and private toilet on the landing. Bed linen, towels and toiletries provided, hairdryer, television and free Wi-Fi. A child's extra mattress is available for children up to 8 years old (70 × 140) at no extra charge. Independent entrance with a keypad so you can come and go as you please, and private parking next to the room. The adjoining outdoor terrace with a picnic table, parasol and sun loungers invites you to relax facing the Bauges. The hearty, full breakfast made with local produce is included. Occasional table d'hôtes, with meal trays and picnic baskets available for your hikes.
What you'll love about the area
Aillon-le-Jeune is an authentic Savoyard village nestled in the heart of the Massif des Bauges Regional Natural Park, a UNESCO Global Geopark. A haven of unspoilt nature between alpine pastures, forests and peaks. In winter, the family resort of Aillon-le-Jeune/Margeriaz offers alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and sledging just a few minutes away, in a friendly atmosphere far from the big resorts. In spring, summer and autumn, many hiking trails start nearby to explore the ridges of Margeriaz, its famous tannes and ice caves (geological curiosities), Mont Colombier, Mont Pelat, the Croix du Nivolet and many more. The Chartreuse d'Aillon, a former monastery that houses the park's Maison du Patrimine and tells the story of the Bauges. The local fruitière (pooling the fruit of shared work) and its museum space reveal the history and making of Tome des Bauges AOP, the pride of the massif's cheeses, not to be missed!
