In the Tuscany of Auvergne, a deeply restorative 8ha wooded park with a swimming pool, a beautiful house full of charm and its three separate accommodations await you: the Ebène suite (king-size bed or twin beds) for lovers of space and comfort, the Océan suite (2 bedrooms) sharing the same bathroom, and for lovers of the unusual, the large tent Sous la canopée (with a real double bed), a true nature cocoon available from June to September. Over a welcome drink, Mary and Stéphane will advise you on the many visits, hikes, nature activities in the area, favourite restaurants etc. Various local dining options (95% homemade and organic cooking) are available on site: the table d'hôte on Friday evenings (book 48h in advance), the local produce platter (24h in advance) or the last-minute snack; a selection of Auvergne charcuterie and cheeses. The à la carte breakfast also caters for your allergies and dietary requirements.
What you'll love about the area
A stay that combines unwinding in nature with discovering local heritage and gastronomy; On site: swimming pool (9h/22h), pétanque, table tennis, darts, board games, a 2.4 km discovery trail, hiking in the surrounding forest, with fishing and canoeing-kayaking nearby. Hire e-mountain bikes, delivered on site, to explore the surrounding countryside. The royal château of Ravel, the village and its pretty church, Lezoux, ancient capital of Gallo-Roman ceramics, and its departmental ceramics museum (market on Saturday morning), medieval Billom and its pink garlic fields (lovely market on Monday morning), Thiers, the world-renowned cutlery town, its cutlery museum and its craftspeople offering "make your own knife" workshops (a unique experience). Clermont-Ferrand and the Puy de Dôme, and the Chaîne des Puys, a Unesco World Heritage Site, round off these unforgettable excursions. Discover the fine food of the Auvergne terroir in the many restaurants in the area.
