I welcome you to Le Vieux Noyer, my charming traditional Burgundian country house in Montlay-en-Auxois, in the heart of the Parc naturel régional du Morvan.
My house is nestled in a peaceful, flower-filled setting, ideal for recharging your batteries far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I offer 2 comfortable, cosy bedrooms, each with its own double bed and private bathroom so you can enjoy your privacy. If you are travelling as a family, I can add an extra bed for a child in each room.
It's the perfect place for a stay as a couple, with family or with friends (by booking both rooms together). I pay particular attention to hospitality and a friendly atmosphere, so that you truly feel at home. You'll discover the easy-going Burgundian way of life and the authenticity of a real country village in the very heart of the Auxois and the Morvan.
What you'll love about the area
My house is located in Montlay-en-Auxois, in Côte-d'Or, in the Parc naturel régional du Morvan, in the heart of the beautiful Auxois region. You are ideally placed to discover the many treasures of Burgundy.
Nearby: Saulieu, the gastronomic capital of the Morvan, famous for its market and Michelin-starred restaurants; the legendary site of Alésia with its MuséoParc retracing Vercingétorix's battle; and Semur-en-Auxois, one of the most beautiful medieval towns in Burgundy, with its ramparts and imposing towers. The Basilica of Vézelay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is also within reach.
For nature lovers, the Grands Lacs du Morvan (Lac des Settons, Lac de Pannecière) offer swimming and water sports. For wine lovers, the famous Route des Grands Crus de Bourgogne (Beaune, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Gevrey-Chambertin) is just an hour away. A perfect location for combining nature, gastronomy, heritage and wine in Burgundy.
