I welcome you to Gîte Quintessence, my pleasant little gîte in the heart of Vézelay, on the eternal hill. You'll find everything you need for a peaceful stay for two: a living area with a table and 3 chairs, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers and 2 single beds on castors that you can separate or push together as you prefer.
My French window opens onto the garden and the magnificent view over the Morvan, perfect for admiring the sunsets. The small kitchen is practical and fully equipped (coffee machine, toaster, fridge), and the bathroom has a shower. Bed linen, towels and end-of-stay cleaning are included in the price. You also have access to a terrace, the garden and a washing machine.
Access is via the ramparts path, in an authentic setting full of charm. Tranquillity and authenticity guaranteed as you discover Vézelay.

My gîte is in the heart of Vézelay, listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Just a few steps away, you'll discover the magnificent Basilica of Sainte-Marie-Madeleine, a Romanesque masterpiece and the historic starting point of one of the routes of the Way of St James to Santiago de Compostela.
The Musée Zervos, right next door, displays modern art in a remarkable house. The ramparts path offers an unmissable walk with views over the Morvan. Vézelay is surrounded by the Morvan Regional Nature Park, ideal for hiking and nature walks. For food and drink, don't miss the Vézelay wines (an appellation since 2017) and the surrounding wine cellars for tastings. Avallon is 15 km away, Auxerre 50 km.
