We welcome you to our fully renovated family house in Dohem, a peaceful little village in the Caps et Marais d'Opale regional nature park, perched at an altitude of 150 m. We offer 3 comfortable bedrooms, each with a private shower room: two bedrooms on the ground floor, one of which has access for guests with reduced mobility, and a family room upstairs. You also have two large shared spaces (a sitting room in the house and a semi-conservatory), a fully equipped kitchen, and a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
A jacuzzi is at your disposal so you can relax. The enclosed courtyard lets you park your vehicle safely, and a bike store with tools welcomes cyclists.
A homemade breakfast is served every morning in a bright room overlooking the garden. Ideal for pilgrims on the Via Francigena, which passes less than 100 m from the property.
What you'll love about the area
Dohem is ideally located 15 km from Saint-Omer and Aire-sur-la-Lys, in the heart of the Caps et Marais d'Opale park. Set off to explore Saint-Omer and its cathedral, the Marais Audomarois and its 3700 hectares of waterways to discover by bacove, the Coupole d'Helfaut (a former bunker turned history and remembrance centre), Aire-sur-la-Lys and its belfry, or Azincourt and the site of its famous battle of 1415. Further afield, the Côte d'Opale, the Boulonnais and Flanders can each be discovered in a day.
A keen cycle tourer, Jean-Michel will gladly advise you on your routes, especially for joining the Via Romea Francigena (EuroVelo 5).
Pilgrims on foot will find the Via Francigena (GR 145) passing 100 m from the property, on its way from Calais to Rome. For meals, several traditional restaurants and a food truck are less than 10 minutes away by car.
