Saint-Florentin is a charming historic town built in terraces above the River Armance, on the border between Bourgogne and Champagne. From the house, it's just a few steps to the colourful wall sections and spiralling lanes of the old centre, the Renaissance church housing treasures of the École Troyenne, the fontaine aux Dragons and the Musée du Florentinois.
Walking and cycling enthusiasts can take the lanes leading out to the edges of town, the marina on the canal de Bourgogne and its cycle path. The municipal swimming pool is also within walking distance. 30 minutes away, set off to discover the vineyards of Chablis and its tasting cellars.
Auxerre, Sens, the abbaye de Pontigny and the Pays d'Othe are all less than an hour away. Paris is 1h45 away by car, or by train from Saint-Florentin-Vergigny station.
