Bathed in the generous sunshine of the Southern Alps, L'Air du Temps is a family-run guesthouse in Prunières in the Hautes-Alpes, between Lake Serre-Ponçon and the Écrins National Park. A setting of wide open natural spaces with an exceptional panoramic view over the lake and its famous Saint-Michel chapel sitting on the water, one of the most photographed sites in the Hautes-Alpes.
4 characterful B&B rooms with mountain-inspired names, Bouquetins, Chamois, Morgon and Les Loups, from 15 to 30 m². Each room has its own atmosphere, with all the comfort you need for a restorative stay at altitude.
A French breakfast will be served on the terrace overlooking the lake. Homemade jams and homemade brioches to start the day gently before heading off to explore the Alps. A peaceful moment in front of a magnificent landscape.

What you'll love about the area
L'Air du Temps is an ideal base for discovering the Southern Alps. Lake Serre-Ponçon, the largest earth-fill dam in Europe, offers swimming, sailing, paddleboarding, canoeing and cruises to take in the grandeur of the lake. The Saint-Michel chapel on its islet is a living picture, visible from the house.
The great Alpine passes attract cyclists from all over the world, with the Izoard, the Galibier, the Col de Vars and the Col Agnel. The Ubaye valley and the Bonnette, Allos and Cayolle passes extend these legendary roads. An exceptional playground for road cycling.
The Écrins National Park offers spectacular hikes among high-altitude lakes and peaks of over 4000 metres. Saint-Véran, the highest village in Europe, and Briançon, the highest town in Europe, make unforgettable excursions. Gap and Embrun, 20 minutes away, offer shops, markets and heritage. The Hautes-Alpes for a rich stay under generous sunshine more than 300 days a year.
