What you'll love about the area
Béhen is located in the Somme near Abbeville, on the doorstep of the Baie de Somme, ranked among the most beautiful bays in the world. Saint-Valery-sur-Somme and its medieval lanes, Le Crotoy and its beaches, and Cayeux-sur-Mer and its beach huts are just a stone's throw away.
The Parc du Marquenterre, one of the largest bird sanctuaries in Europe, lets you observe hundreds of bird species. The Baie de Somme railway links the villages by steam train. Cross the bay with a guide to watch the seals.
Discover the coastal cliffs at Le Tréport, the colourful Belle Époque façades at Mers-les-Bains and the panoramic views over the Channel at Ault. A varied coastline of sand, shingle and white chalk.
Amiens, with its Notre-Dame cathedral, the largest in France, its hortillonnages (floating gardens) to explore by boat and the house of Jules Verne, is close by for a day of culture. Between nature, heritage and Picardy cuisine, the region offers a rich stay in every season.
