Charming gîte with a swimming pool and a Finnish kota in Plumelin, in the Breton countryside of the Morbihan. Our Coquelicot welcomes you to a calm, green setting, ideal for a restorative stay in inland Brittany near Josselin, Vannes and Auray. The spacious, comfortable gîte includes a fully equipped kitchen: induction hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, a cosy living room with sofas and a soundbar, as well as a bedroom with a 160x200 bed and a shower room with a walk-in shower. Bed linen and towels included. A separate Finnish kota, open in the warmer months, offers extra sleeping space for 2 people in a cocooning atmosphere, with its own washbasin and dry toilet. In winter, the wood-burning stove warms your evenings. In summer, you can cool off in the pool and gaze at the stars around the fire pit. Pets accepted. A gîte open all year round, combining nature, comfort and Breton authenticity.
What you'll love about the area
Le Coquelicot de Kerselaven is nestled in the heart of the Breton countryside, a setting of absolute tranquillity that still makes it easy to explore the most beautiful sites in the region. Josselin and its majestic medieval castle overlooking the Nantes-Brest canal are just 20 min away, Vannes with its historic centre, ramparts, harbour and lively market is 25 min away, and Auray, its cobbled streets and the charming port of Saint-Goustan await you 20 min away. The Blavet towpath offers a magnificent route by bike or on foot along the canal, 20 min from the gîte. The beaches of Carnac and its famous standing stone alignments can be reached in 40 min, as can Lac de Guerlédan and its water sports in the heart of inland Brittany. The surrounding Morbihan countryside invites you on country walks, to discover small villages full of character and to taste local Breton produce. Local shops are easily accessible for a fully independent stay.
