The "Tanit en Vareilles" B&B is set in a former 17th-century priory in Mouret, in the Aveyron. This historic building, carefully restored, is nestled in the heart of the forest and offers a true haven of peace. Our 2 bedrooms elegantly combine old-world charm with contemporary comfort, and each has a private bathroom. The setting is exceptional: surrounded by forest and unspoilt nature, the property invites you to relax and fully unplug. The pool is available for moments of relaxation and refreshing swims after your days of hiking. Meals showcase Aveyron cuisine and are convivial moments shared with Sandrine and Bashir. Breakfast is homemade, with organic and/or local produce. You will be warmly welcomed for an authentic stay, centred on heritage and nature in the Aveyron. "Référence" B&B and Vignobles et Découvertes label.
What you'll love about the area
Located halfway between Rodez and Conques, in the heart of the Rougier du Vallon. An ideal position for discovering the Aveyron while enjoying the calm and coolness of the forest. Nearby, Conques, a medieval gem listed among the most beautiful villages in France and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, charms visitors with its Sainte-Foy abbey, a masterpiece of Romanesque art, its reliquary treasury and the contemporary stained-glass windows by Pierre Soulages. Rodez, with its Gothic Notre-Dame cathedral, the Soulages museum and its historic centre. Nature lovers will enjoy the many hikes: waymarked trails on foot, on horseback or by bike, the GR65, unspoilt valleys and exceptional views over the Aveyron countryside. There is no shortage of villages full of character: Belcastel, Najac, Bozouls,Villefranche-de-Rouergue, The Aveyron also delights with its gastronomy: aligot de buron, fouace, farçous, tripoux, AOC cheeses such as Roquefort and Laguiole, not forgetting the wines of Marcillac.
